Dreaming larger than life, thinking beyond the obvious, believing in it and making it happen against all odd, that's Supratik – the Lead Singer , composer and captain of Team Aurko.
The son of renowned film maker late Shyamal Ghosh grandson of legendary Indian playback singer Geeta Dutt, music is in Supratik’s blood and he was tagged a musician by default.
This dashing Lead Singer dreams of bigger things for the band and slips into multiple roles. While on stage he is the epitome of a showman, back stage he slips, almost unnoticed, into the by now familiar role of playing godfather to all the band members, each one of whom he has nurtured as being inseparable from his own being. The band members look up to him as a brother figure and hence, call him ‘Dada’.
An Ad man by profession, his life revolves around Music and Brands. Board Room Presentations, Brand meetings during the day and some serious Head Banging during the night, that’s Supratik - a 24/7 workaholic who loves living life to its fullest. A 24-hour day is simply not enough for this active Outdoor Advertising Pro whose multi-tasking abilities is something the band admires deeply. His leadership skills are extraordinary. Be it at his office where he heads the national business for his company, or back in his band, where he takes care of so many people, so many functional areas. He does them all with perfection and satisfaction.
For Supratik, Aurko was a platform to show the world that even corporates can make music. "If you are passionate about something in life, nothing can come on your way" says him. His vision for the band is simple "Aurko will invite musicians and bands across the country to come and collaborate. The category of music needs to grow and as a Band we will always support this"
